Awakening the Christ Within: A Palm Sunday Meditation
Surrender, Let Go, and Awaken: The Hidden Power of Palm Sunday
A Soulful Talk on Christ Consciousness, Spiritual Awakening, and the Courage to Release What No Longer Serves
with Rev. Evelyn Foreman, MDiv, RYT
In this spiritually rich Palm Sunday message, Rev. Evelyn Foreman, a twice-ordained Unity and metaphysical minister, invites us to reflect on the deeper meaning of Christ consciousness and the inner path of spiritual awakening. Through storytelling, metaphysical insight, and sacred reflection, she challenges us to ask: What am I holding onto that keeps me from embodying my divine identity?
This talk weaves the timeless truth of spiritual healing, prosperity consciousness, and self-worth with the relevance of modern life. Drawing from scripture, metaphysics, and her personal journey as a mother and mystic, Evelyn reminds us that true power lies not in control, but in conscious surrender. Like the metaphor of the monkey and the fist, she urges us to release the illusions we cling to and make space for the miracle of becoming.
If you’ve ever felt spiritually stuck, emotionally overwhelmed, or uncertain about your purpose, this message is a sanctuary. It will return you to center, invite you into presence, and help you walk your sacred path with grace.

Meditation Experience: Awakening the Christ Within | Palm Sunday Reflection
(0:05 - 1:04)
So if you are not already with your eyes closed, I invite you to do so at this time as we enter in the meditation experience of our service today. So if you're very gentle with yourself this morning and allow your body to soften your shoulders to drop and your breath to deepen, invite a long, loving inhale into your body temple and exhale it away as you release. Can we begin this holy time, affirming in the silence? The Christ in me is awakening, alive, and ready to enter in.
(1:07 - 1:50)
Breathe that in, feel it move through your entire being. Let it settle in your heart. Christ in me, awakened, alive, ready to enter in, and as today is on Sunday, we remember the sacred journey, not just of Jesus and Jerusalem, but the Christ consciousness entering the city of our own heart right here.
(1:52 - 5:09)
Every breath, imagine now the road into Jerusalem before you, sun-warmed stones, palm fawns gently waving, a hush of expectancy in the air, and you, your higher self, your divine I am within you, approaches, writing in humility, not on a war horse, but on a donkey, a safer donkey, rounded, surrendered, then at peace, the people that surround you lay down their cloaks, symbolizing their mass, their titles, their need to control. Can you feel the invitation to do the same in your breath right here? What are you willing to release to lay down on the road before you so that your inner Christ may pass through? For yourself, whatever it is, offer it now, lay it down gently before the Christ within, and now let us enter the silence together as a congregation, as holy friends. We enter into the holy city of the heart in this manner, and now slowly, bring your awareness back to your breath, back to your body, feel yourself held, loved, transformed.
(5:11 - 5:48)
You are the light of the world. You are the peace carrier. You are the Christ entering in, and in the silence let us affirm together, I walk the path of peace, I lay down fear, I rise in love, and so it has come back.
